The Adopt-A-Shelter Program gives
everyone the opportunity to make a significant
contribution to our daily operations. With six
shelter facilities and two administrative sites, Jenesse has the capacity to serve more than 200
clients at any given time. Your investment in
adopting a room or a program can make a considerable
difference.

Adopt – A – Bedroom
When you adopt a
bedroom you help underwrite the costs for:
furniture, cribs, linens, pillows, and clothing.

Adopt – A – Bathroom
When you adopt a bathroom you help underwrite the costs for: personal
hygiene essentials, toiletries, cleaning supplies,
towels, and diapers and wipes for infants.
q
Adopt – A – Kitchen/Dining Room
When you adopt a kitchen and dining room you help underwrite the costs
for: three meals a day, snacks, infant formula,
kitchen appliances, pots and pans, eating utensils,
plates, cups, napkins, dining table and chairs, and
health and nutrition classes.

Adopt – A – Living Room
When you adopt a living room you help underwrite the costs for: the
24-hour crisis hotline, community education
presentations, law enforcement liaison, hospital
liaison, intake services, transportation, a van,
taxi vouchers, bus tokens, phone service, utilities,
facility improvements, and living room furniture.

Adopt – A – Family Room
When you adopt a family room you help underwrite the costs for:
parenting classes, individual, peer, family
counseling sessions, dating violence presentations,
health care and advocacy, and household
establishment classes.

Adopt – A – Children’s Playroom
When you adopt the children’s playroom you help underwrite the costs
for: art supplies, play pens, toys, supplies for
mother-child art classes, childcare, adolescent
activities.

Adopt – A – Library
When you adopt a
library underwrite the costs for: vocational
education, legal services, school supplies,
classroom equipment, textbooks/training manuals,
reading/resource library materials,
binders/organizers, professional speakers,
transportation, restraining orders, court advocacy,
computer skills training, computers and software,
and family literacy program supplies.

Adopt – A – Backyard/Recreation Area
When you adopt the backyard/recreation area underwrite the costs for:
field trips, transportation to field trips, after
school activities, shelter beautification and
landscaping, pest control, maintenance and play
equipment.
